This fine Ivory figure is of a quality comparable with the best Japanese Netsuke, showing humor and stylisation. He has over-large feet, delicate hoop earrings and a wrap-round head-cloth showing hair on top and a knotted queue at the back and long sideburns. He measures 6.3 cm (2 1/2inches).
